Sports Premium Funding
What is Sports Premium Funding?
The Sports Premium Funding is awarded by the government and should be used for the following five areas:
- increasing all staff’s confidence, knowledge and skills in teaching PE and sport
- increasing engagement of all pupils in regular physical activity and sport
- raising the profile of PE and sport across the school, to support whole school improvement
- offer a broader and more equal experience of a range of sports and physical activities to all pupils
- increase participation in competitive sport
How do we spend our Sports Premium Funding?
At East Meon, we believe strongly that children benefit from taking part in a range of sports, both physically and mentally. We promote participation and engagement in sporting activities and use our funding to enable this. We are very proud to have recently been awarded our Gold School Games Award as recognition for our fantastic work in this area.
