We are at the start of our Forest School Journey with Mrs Perkins currently undertaking her Level 3 Forest School Leader training. We ran a pilot programme in the Summer Term 2024 with the Year R class and from September 2024, we will be offering each year group a 6-week programme incorporating one afternoon a week. The plan for this is shown below:

Our Christian values of Hope, Love and Courage are reflected in our Forest School provision which inspires children to appreciate the natural world and develop their understanding of how we can look after the environment to sustain it for future generations. We provide opportunities for children to challenge themselves and develop their own risk management skills through physical play and adventurous skills such as fire lighting and tool work.  In an increasingly busy school schedule, Forest School allows children time to lead their own learning and development, exploring physically and creatively in the natural environment.
